Rugby's not the reason you're moving to Boulder? We'll give you some other ones.

Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and only 30 miles away from downtown Denver,
Boulder boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the nation while maintaining access to a bustling
metropolitan area that includes major sports, theatres, concerts, museums, and plenty of other
activities.
Boulder is just over a mile above sea level and is within a three hour drive of 11 different ski
and snowboarding slopes, the closest being Eldora, which is 20 miles away and is accessible by public
bus. Boulder has over 300 miles of bike paths and access to hiking, mountain biking, camping, rock
climbing, and just about every other outdoor activity you can imagine in the nearby flatirons. A
typical winter view includes snowcapped mountains under the magnificent Colorado sun, which shines
about 300 days per year.
A college town, Boulder has a population of about 96,000 (about a third of which are undergraduate
and graduate students). The University of Colorado at Boulder (CU-Boulder) provides a central industry
to the city, and Colorado's flagship institution and its recent grads helped Boulder to be named
"America's smartest city" in a 2008 ranking by Forbes magazine. CU-Boulder is a research I institution
that has graduated more astronauts than any other institution in the nation and continues to pursue
the highest level of research, teaching, and scholarship.
Country Home Magazine named Boulder #5 in its 2008 ranking of the Top 25 Green Cities in America,
and CU-Boulder was named America's second greenest university in a 2008 Sierra magazine poll (number
one was Middlebury College, which has less than 10% of CU-Boulder's population). Boulder's commitment
to environmental consciousness is reflected in CU-Boulder's NCAA Division I athletic program being the
first in the nation to implement zero-waste football games, where everything served or sold is either
recyclable or compostable.
Boulder is large enough that it contains everything a person might need, from shopping and dining
to entertainment and athletics, but it is small enough that it maintains a friendly community feel.
There is little traffic, and the town is pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly. The city's comprehensive
bus system's vehicles use eco-friendly bio-diesel fuel and have bike racks at the front for bike/bus
commuters.
Often called one of the most desirable places to live in the nation, Boulder offers something for
everyone. With its fantastic weather, abundant outdoor recreation, and many cultural and intellectual
opportunities, Boulder is an excellent place to call home.
